"This is That School" Captures USN Essence
Everything on the screen at the Belcourt at USN's Movie Night helped to answer the question "What's so special about that school, anyway?"
But the piece that came the closest to defining Peabody Demonstration School and University School of Nashville was teacher Jim Manning's short film, "This is That School."
As Vince Durnan says, "He connected the story with the spirit of our school. He tells one story by shining a light on what changed and what didn't change."
In Jim's words: "'This is That School' incorporates memories from the last 100 years of PDS/USN's history and was shot over three years. Current and former students and faculty came together to recount and re-enact moments from this school's history. These memories, grand and small, are what make this the school we love."
