Class Notes: December 2014

Here are your fellow Tigers making headlines this month.
National Alumni Board of Visitors member Dr. Rosalyn Baxter-Jones '72 was on Capitol Hill last week meeting with Senator Tammy Baldwin (Wisconsin) and Diane Black (Tennessee) for a congressional briefing on reducing preterm birth. 

The Class of 2004 normally gets together in Nashville over Thanksgiving. Thanks to Anna Myint '04 for the photo of her classmates who were able to make it this year.

Page Krugman '06 recently filmed an episode of Jeopardy that is slated to air January 1, 2015. Check your local listings for channel and show times.

William Tyler '98 recently premiered his new multi-media pieceCorduroy Roads, in Durham. William scored rare photographs, sketches, and insignia of the Civil War from the collections of Alexander Gardner and George Barnard.

Sam Smith '99 was one of the artists featured in The Boston Globe article on the artwork of the Criterion Collection. 

Be sure to watch for USN Alumni Board member Piper Jones '08 on the new season of American Idol next month. 

The Nashville Business Journal interviewed Darek Bell '92 about Corsair Distillery, Bell & Associates Construction, and his love of the Nashville Sounds. 

Josh Zeitlin '09 wrote a piece on measuring cost and quality of our health care system for American Health Line.

Levi Hummon '10 signed with Deston Entertainment in collaboration with Kobalt Music Publishing. 

Jad Abumrad '91's popular NPR podcast Radiolab is named the third best podcast based in NYC in this post by Untapped Cities.

Ben Bredesen '98's Nashville-based craft brewery Fat Bottom Brewing was one of five breweries that hosted a bottle release party at the Nashville Farmer's Market. 

Cate Adams '04 (Warner Brothers Pictures) is overseeing the new King Arthur film by Guy Ritchie

The late Huell Howser '63 is the subject of a new documentary. Several of Huell's classmates were interviewed for the film.

Sara Lubow Fried '91 was named one of The Knot's "Best Wedding Planners" for the fourth consecutive year. Sara will be the first wedding planner from Tennessee to be inducted into their Hall of Fame next year.

Mclaine Richardson '04 partnered with Project Runway finalist Amanda Valentine to create a special line for Margaret Ellis Jewelry.
