Although I haven't been here 100 years, my 43 years at PDS/USN count for something. I began my journey at PDS in 1971 and graduated from USN in 1977. The school had a different name but the same values.
Fast forward to 2014. Change is inevitable, especially when it comes to modernizing our building, keeping up with advances in technology, and trying to achieve a "greener" earth. Yes, we have expanded, we keep up with the latest technology, and we are dedicated to a greener environment.
The bottom line is that the school you knew so well is still here at the corner of Edgehill and 19th Avenues. The students still line the halls with backpacks, musical instruments, and athletic equipment. Every student is an individual surrounded by faculty and staff who care deeply.
To think that there was a day that our doors were going to close here at PDS/USN is almost impossible to believe now that we are celebrating our Centennial.
We are thriving, thanks to you and our devoted faculty, staff, parents, and grandparents. Let's make 2014-2015 the best giving year ever. Help me drive alumni participation to 100% for our 100th year.
