USN Alumni Live On Stage
Every year USN’s Music Night turns the auditorium stage into the center of Music City. This year, with Shooter Jennings ’97 and Gabe Dixon ’96 as our first ever alumni headliners, it was also a homecoming.
Gabe opened the night. His spontaneous rendition of the Alma Mater and generous reflections on the importance of his thirteen years at USN in his life proved he is as gracious as he is talented. Shooter took the stage backed by an all-star band and an equally eloquent expression of appreciation of his time on 2000 Edgehill. At a crescendo moment of an excellent rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Isis” an audience member was heard to say: “I don’t think I have ever been as into anything as he is to that music.”
During Gabe and Shooter’s sets, the audience was right there with them and totally into the moment.
