Get Involved with USN

Karyn Bryant and Andrea Wolf '02
by Karyn Bryant, USNA President and Andrea Wolf, PDS-USN Alumni Board

USNA and the PDS/USN Alumni Board are teaming up to help alumni stay connected to USN.
USNA (the University Schoool of Nashville Association) hosts events to build community among parents, students, faculty, alumni, parents of alumni, and friends.

This year, USNA and the PDS/USN Alumni Board are working together to encourage involvement by alumni and parents of alumni. Through USNA’s volunteer opportunities and programs, you can easily find ways to help out and participate that fit your individual interests as well as available time.

Volunteer:
There are tons of volunteer options. You can help in the library or art department, help with Evening classes, and more.

Participate:

USN Evening Classes run from January through April and offer an array of choices from the serious to the just plain fun.
You can find out more about them at the USN Evening Classes website or on their facebook page.  Registration for classes is now open.

Music Night, which always features top flight talent, is one of the highlights of the year. The performers for the February 19 event will be announced soon.

The USNA Tennis Tournament is at the River Campus on April 21, 2012.

Support:
Regardless of your ability to volunteer or participate, you can still support USN through the Bonus Bucks Program.

Bonus Bucks raises money for the school with no more effort than shopping. Last year, Bonus Bucks participants earned almost $9,000 for the school by shopping at Kroger, Harris Teeter, Publix, and Target. One-half of this amount came from USN/PDS alumni. You don’t have to live in Nashville to participate. Contact Kelley Ellis at kannellis@comcast.net or Kobie Pretorius at kobiepretorius@hotmail.com, and we will send you a shopper card linked to USN.
