On Saturday, January 7, University School of Nashville High School hosted a quiz bowl tournament for the first time in seven years. USN students, faculty, parents, and traveling volunteers read questions, kept score, sold concessions, and managed the control room.
It was an exciting competition: Hoover High School (Alabama) defeated Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering two games to one in the final. This event raised over $1,000 for the team to travel to its small school national championship in Chicago in April and the high school national championship in May.
The team thanks all of the volunteers and competitors who made this event possible. USN Quiz Bowl returns to competition on Saturday, January 28 in Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Students can still join the team through the contact info on the HS Co-Curriculars page.
