Middle School Dance Teacher Marci Murphree was one of the many affected by flooding in the Nashville area in late-March. On Saturday, April 3, a group of Murphree's former students and helpful High School Tigers showed up to Murphree's home to help.

Students sorted through photos, tossed out water-soaked items, and removed ruined furniture. It was a gorgeous day made even better by the generosity and kindness of the students and faculty who contributed making substantial progress in Murphree's cleanup effort.

Those who helped were Jamie List '23, Annabelle Frank '23, Somya Singh '21, Lauren French '21, Christopher Haynes '24, Frederick Rudolph '23, Erica Friedman '21, Arianna Wooten '21, Zoe Volanakis '23, Jordan Winbush '21, Ruben Boero '21, Anna Dennison '23 and her mother Corrine Dennison, HS Dance Teacher Caren Lyons and her husband Mark Lyons, HS/MS Band Director Joe Getsi, and Arts Department Co-Chair & Technical Theater Teacher Jim Manning.

"We're community. This is just what we do," Jordan said, summing up a day of hard work, laughter, and tears.
